Our Baby's Story!

Joe and I wanted to share our baby's story with all of our family, so we penned this email and sent it out...


Dear Family,

Joseph and I want to share a very cool story with you. We have been hoping for a baby for the last 3 years. Finally after trying everything else, we were scheduled for in vitro this past fall. However, when the time came for the procedure we felt the timing wasn’t right and postponed it until after the new year. Well, as you know my fabulous brother Todd passed away in October. Needless to say, we realized why we had felt inspired to postpone the procedure. I had previously told Todd about our plans for in vitro. He was one of the only people who knew. On the night Todd passed away we all took turns saying our goodbyes to him. He was comatose, but we knew he was there. Joe and I whispered to him that we would love for him to work his magic up there and send us a baby. :) 2 months later almost to the day I found out that I was expecting, and without medical help. I was in shock! After 3 years of negative pregnancy tests getting a positive result seemed like a dream. I kept it a secret from Joseph for a few days because Christmas morning was coming. He got the best Christmas gift ever! The coolest part of this whole thing is that I am due on Todd’s birthday. Can you believe it?He is up there fixing it all up. I can just see him smiling about the whole thing. He always made the biggest statements! This means another August birthday in our house. This makes 4. Poor Brynnley feels like such an outsider being in October. We feel so blessed and I am so glad he continues to take care of me. I cry all the time thinking about how he is up there getting to know this little person. I miss him so much, but know first hand that he is already busy doing great things!

Brynnley is drawing pictures of our baby daily. Needless to say she is EXCITED!!!! Here is one she drew on the program at church on Sunday.
