My Parents Are Home!!!!!

May 18, 2009

Elder and Sister Larsen Arrived home from the Athens Greece, Cyprus Mission to Arizona on May 15th. We were all there at the airport to greet them. We had made signs for them and held them up while we cheered like they were rock stars. It was so fun.

They came in from Indiana where they had been to see my sister Tina and her family for a few days. Tina and her family flew in with them so we could all be together for the weekend.

Here are some of the highlights of our reunion...

Brynn has been so excited to see them...she has a special friend in Grandma. They love to do girly things together!

Jaden didn't seem to have any problems remembering them. He loves his Grandpa!

Grandma meets Baby Garrett for the first time! Many hours of eating off his face lay ahead...

Todd, Kelly and Garrett...

Brynn, Jaden and cousin Evan...The 3 Musketeers!

When you leave the mission field your mission president usually writes you a farewell letter. I asked my parents for a copy of theirs because I thought it was so awesome. I know the kind of people my parents are and I know the kind of missionaries they were. I am so grateful for their willingness to serve, and for the blessings they brought to our family through their service!

Todd and Kelly were so cute, they bought some sparkling cider to celebrate Mom and Dad and Joe's graduation too. We all toasted to the 3 of them.
Joe is STILL so EXCITED to be done!
The bottle had the cutest little graduation cap on it.
Joe hadn't had the opportunity to throw his cap at the ceremony, so we caught the moment here...

His head has so much information in it now that it is huge and no longer fits into a graduation cap... really, just look at it!
Cheers!

Oh Dad, we missed your silliness!

The kids were riding their bikes in the backyard and looked like this. You can imagine how they smelled. Into the bath we go...

I love it when they sleep! Tina and I used to get to have slumber parties in my parents bed (they put us in our own beds after we were asleep, so they could go to bed). We used to have so much fun telling secrets and dinging around.
I wonder what secret plans they were making when they drifted off...

I found them like this when I went in to check on them. So cute!

While we were in Arizona we took a trip out to see the office that Joe will be opening this fall. It is coming along. So far it looks great. His office will be the section that is green.

The view his patients will get while getting work done. Pretty sweet!

Open, open, open!

What a fun post! Glad your parents are home safe and sound. Isn't family the best!?!?! And Joe...nice FULL head. You spent HOW MUCH for all that growth? Yikes! (Of course, in reference to the grad cap too small).
